Mountains, a lake, and a beautiful couple – all the ingredients you need for a perfect wedding. the forecast for their wedding weekend was heavy rain and floods and we had been warned that a month of rainfall would fall on the day on the wedding. its fair to say i was just a little nervous and so i was thrilled to wake up to blue skies and sunshine which continued through most of the day. Izzy wore a stunning lace dress and had chosen a gorgoeus shade of cornflower blue for her flowers and bridesmaids. They were married at the Waterhead Hotel in Coniston in the Lake District and afterwards enjoyed champagne and cake pops made by the couple themselves. After some photographs on the hotel’s jetty we headed up into the mountains to the venue for the wedding reception, the Coppermine Cottages. Nestled in the Coniston mountains, these cottages have the most breathtaking views and was just absolutely stunning. Literally just the most perfect setting. The celebrations continued into the early hours with entertainment from three bands and a magician. I feel so so lucky to have been able to capture their big day, I couldn’t have wished for anything more and I wish Izzy & Darren all the best in their many years of married life to come.
