Dunchurch Park wedding photography by Jennifer Peel
Now it may have been over a year since this wedding and despite having photographed a lot more since, I still remember it very well. Firstly I will always remember how lovely Poppy and Hitz were and how great a couple they made. I’d been recommend to them by an old school friend who was a colleague of Poppy’s and before the day we did an engagement shoot together. This was a good opportunity to get some relaxed photos of the couple together and a good chance for them to get to know me and the way I work.
Poppy and Hitz’s engagement shoot took place at their wedding venue, Dunchurch Park. Nestled within Warwickshire, Dunchurch Park is steeped in history, with it’s gorgeous architecture. However, on the day of the shoot, it was torrential rain…thankfully this wasn’t the case on the wedding day and the Edwardian manor house looked stunning in the spring sunshine.
The couple began the wedding day with a western civil ceremony in the great hall. Family and guests enjoyed the drinks reception in the rose garden whilst I snuck the couple off for those all important couple shots. Poppy looked stunning in her gown from the The Bridal Gallery and her vibrant bouquet was by Anne-Marie’s Florist. Hitz looked equally dapper in his Huge Boss suit. Following their wedding breakfast and keen to incorporate their Hindu backgrounds, the couple and their guests changed into asian outfits – this was no small task given that Hitz had eight best men and six ushers – that’s a record for me!
It was an absolute honour to be a part of their day and I’ve been so slow with blogging that the couple have had a little baby boy in the meantime – suffice to say that I wish them and their new family all the best for their future together.
