I wanted to photograph Charlotte & Matthew’s wedding the moment I met them. They’re one of those couples that make you feel incredibly welcome and I warmed to them straight away. They were unfortunate to have lost money to another wedding photographer who had disappeared on them – it made me incredibly angry that someone in my industry could do this to any couple, especially these guys, and so I wanted to restore their faith in wedding photographers! Charlotte wore a stunning Justin Alexander dress with a bow on the back and her bridesmaids looked gorgeous in dusky pink. They’re married in the village church of Lapworth and went on to have their reception at Nuthurst Grange, another new venue for me! I’d heard great things about this venue and it certainly lived up to expectations. Guests were entertained by an acoustic duo after the formal group photographs so I was able to sneak the couple off for some relaxed couple portraits in the beautiful gardens. The sun shone all day and the couple were able to do their first dance outdoors after which guests enjoyed cold treats from the ice cream van the couple hired. I couldn’t be more happy for these guys and I am so glad that they had the most perfect day and photographs to remember it by. It was an absolute pleasure!
