Nuthurst Grange wedding photography by Jennifer Peel
This wedding at Nuthurst Grange absolutely proves that wet weather doesn’t have to ruin your wedding photography if nothing else! Stef and Fergus chose Nuthurst Grange in Solihull as their wedding venue, saying their vows in the newly restored Stable Barn Suite. It rained non stop between the end of their ceremony and sitting down for wedding breakfast but I was determined to not let this stop us getting some gorgeous couple portraits. The entire set is taken outside under the shade of a tree – would you ever have known it was raining if I hadn’t told you?! We also used the shelter of a doorway for a bit of variety and yes, those confetti shots were also taken in the rain, big thanks to all of their guests for waiting patiently under umbrellas until the go ahead to throw! The highlight of the day had to be their first dance which went from a slow dance into Madness’ ‘House of Fun’ where they were joined by the bridal party complete with inflatable saxophones for a rehearsed finale which went down a storm with the guests.
