Sandon Hall Wedding Photography by Jennifer Peel
As a preferred wedding photography supplier at Sandon Hall, it’s always a pleasure to be asked to do a couple’s wedding photography at the venue. Having seen my work at the venue, Vanessa came to meet me at my stand at the National Wedding Show where I was exhibiting. Yellow is my favourite colour, so I instantly fell in love with her mustard heels and the craspedia buttonholes! The day began with Vanessa and her bridesmaids getting ready at Sandon Hall, with the boys arriving a little later to greet guests into the library where a very emotional civil ceremony followed. With Duncan’s skills as a carpenter, they had planned a village fete wedding at the country house venue in Stafford. Duncan and his father had made an incredible wooden card box, the wooden heart guest signing frame as well as number of village fete games including splat the rat and a tombola. The weather wasn’t too kind to the couple with it raining for most of the day but we did manage to steal 10 minutes of dry for some couple portraits out in the landscaped grounds so I was very happy! Guests enjoyed the fete games after dinner with the couple awarding prizes to the winners of their vegetable competition before their first dance in the main hall.
