When Amy and Chris first got in touch with me about photography for their outdoor yurt wedding at Huntlands Farm B&B, I was so excited – they were planning a relaxed yurt wedding with an outdoor ceremony which is right up my street! I have known Amy and Chris for several years through close friends – they are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
We honestly can’t recommend Jenny enough! She is an incredibly talented photographer, relaxed, professional and absolutely lovely. She captured every aspect of the day perfectly – the laughs, the tears, the bad dance moves! We couldn’t be more pleased with our photos, they are simply beautiful!

On the morning of the wedding I rocked up at Huntlands Farm B&B to find Amy getting ready with her bridesmaids. It was all super relaxed even though Chris and his boys were in the same farmhouse getting ready downstairs. Amy’s dress had the most beautiful lace train and plunging neckline and Chris wore a navy jacket with paisley bow tie. They both looked amazing!
outdoor ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place outside with guests seated on wooden benches and wild flowers as decorations. Amy’s sisters officiated the ceremony and walked her down the aisle which was a lovely touch and they had some beautiful readings which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony the couple downed shots and then walked back down the aisle together whilst being showered with confetti.
yurt wedding
It was a the windiest wedding I’ve ever photographed which wasn’t in the plan but it didn’t phase the couple at all. While the guests hung around drinking fizz, we wandered around the farm doing some relaxed and creative portraits. The bridal party joined in for some fun smoke bomb photographs which were my favourite from the day!
The wedding reception took place in a yurt with simple but elegant decoration. After the meal it was time for speeches including a pre-recorded speech from Amy’s father who was sadly unable to make the day due to illness. There wasn’t a dry eye in the yurt as he delivered the first speech of the evening. Amy and Chris then got the party started with everyone joining them on the dance floor after their first dance.
