You may recognise Amelia from a wedding earlier in the year when she was a bridesmaid for Nicola. I love that I’ve got to photograph them both as bridesmaids and brides as I went to high school with both of them. Amelia and Colin chose the Lord Leycester Hospital, a charming historic building in Warwick for their civil ceremony. It’s a beautiful venue for a ceremony with it’s high ceilings, candelabras and wooden beams and it has a lovely garden for photographs outside. As they married in Warwick we took the opportunity to head to Mill Gardens for some couple portraits. Mill Gardens sits on the banks of the river below Warwick Castle and offers endless possibilities for photos – I could have kept them there all day! Amelia is a woman after my own heart with her love of Pinterest in inspiring their big day. I love her dress hanger, the bottom of her shoes, the cute boxes she made for her bridesmaids, the pick a seat chalkboards, the scones and jam, the personalised wedding card sack and they also had what is probably my favourite cake of 2013 – a three tiered cake completely covered in hundreds and thousands, just amazing!
