Lyndsey and Scott’s wedding was held at St Mary & St Bartholomew’s church and Hampton Manor in Solihull – a beautiful manor house hotel that has all the ingredients for stunning wedding photography
I arrived for bridal prep in the bridal suite where Lyndsey was getting ready for the day. She chose a stunning lace fishtail gown with beaded back detail and had blooms in soft pastel shades. Scott enjoyed his final drink as a single man with his groomsmen and family in the pub opposite their chosen church, St Mary and St Bartholomew, a short walk through the woods from Hampton Manor. I honestly don’t think I have met a more accommodating or friendly vicar in my time as a Solihull wedding photographer (and how many vicars wrap up a toilet roll as a gift to the couple – scroll to see the pics!)

The sun shone all day and guests enjoyed canapes in the grounds whilst being serenaded by a string quartet. I took the new Mr & Mrs off for some portraits in the hotel grounds whilst guests were called to breakfast in the Courtyard. Hampton Manor have a new purpose built lodge for civil ceremonies, The Birches, and I couldn’t resist stealing the couple away for some more portraits amongst the bright green floral wallpaper, stacked apple crates and vintage mirrors. One of my favourite memories from the day was the guest who turned up on a Harley Davidson and then spent the rest of the day giving the ladies rides around the grounds on it at neck breaking speeds – even my second shooter couldn’t resist a go!
Without further ado, here’s their Hampton Manor wedding…
