Since leaving school over 10 years ago I have had the pleasure of being asked back into the lives of so many school friends to document their weddings and it was through the power of social media that Laura had seen these photographs and convinced Alex that I needed to be part of their day! They met at university but it was only when Laura moved abroad after years of friendship that Alex confessed his true feelings. Fast forward a few years and he was popping the question in a gondola in Venice (oh I do love a good old fashioned romantic proposal!)

Laura told me that they were both set on a barn wedding and as soon as they walked into the Tythe Barn they both knew it was where they would get married. They were blown away by the amazing details and every person they met gave them such confidence that they would help them have the very best day possible.
“Everyone tells you how quickly the day goes, but my goodness, it just disappeared. We both wanted to be able to rewind and pause the day so that we could see everything that was going on and get the chance to speak to everyone! Our wedding was the very greatest whirlwind of a day that seemed to disappear in an instant – I wish I could relive it over and over again! We are both overwhelmed with the photos we received of our day – they are all so beautiful and it’s impossibly hard to pick which should be printed!”

Tythe barn wedding photography
This was my first time at the Tythe Barn and it did not disappoint – it’s a beautiful barn venue tucked away in Launton near Bicester and it’s high up there on my list of favourite venues for wedding photography. Like most of my couples, Laura and Alex wanted a wedding that everyone would enjoy with the focus being on relaxed and stress-free. They didn’t want to sweat the small stuff and I reckon they did a pretty good job!
